As I explained in a previous post, my '67 Fury died on me on Christmas eve. I found that fuel was not reaching the carburetor and that the pump was not pumping fuel. I substituted the pump with an old extra pump that I have and still no go. Today I had it towed home on a ramp truck and after the car was unloaded I checked the carb and it is now recieving fuel and the car started and seems fine.
When the car was loaded onto the truck, the back end went on first so the car was really tipped forward during loading and unloading. I am wondering that something may have been disloged in the line because of this steep angle. Could that be possible? I will check it out tommorrow and replace the fuel filter. Thanks for all of the tips.
John

Could be there was a bunch of sediment/crud around the fuel pickup in the tank, and going on the tow truck was enough to slosh the fuel around and dislodge of of the crud ?

Check for dryrot and/or cracks in the rubber fuel line that connects between the sending unit and the body hard line.

That was one of the causes of the same problem I had on my Roadrunner several years ago.
The other part was the original sending unit was so blocked with crud, that it would not allow full fuel flow.
