44D6PAKCUDA OP top fuel 4 Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 2,295 Land of 10,000 Lakes	I have or seen 2 different,what I think are correct 8 3/4" pinion snubbers but don't know why the different designs? Was one used on a different case,or one used on a different body style than the other? burdar Owen's Dad Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 7,371 Iowa	I've got the first style bracket on my 73 Challenger 489 case 8 3/4. However, the rubber bumper is a different design. The bracket and bumper are original to the car. I've got an 8 3/4 out of a mid 60's C-body. It had a different bracket on it I think. I'll have to take a closer look. I know it had a different rubber bumper then my Challenger had.

Bill, Dad's 69 GTX which has a SPO date of Oct, 3, 68 has one of these snubber brackets. Here is a pic of it in the process of being cleaned up. It is on a 742 carrier which I heard they used up till they phased in the 489 casings. cleaned up:
