A LU converter can be built, but there are limitations on what can be done with it compared to the non-LU. Call PTC, tell them what you are wanting the converter to do and they can tell you if you can get there with the LU.

I bought a 3500 stall lock up convertor from SMR for my 2001 Dakota. Get the best of both worlds, Hi stall when you want it and cruising speed lock up that is almost like another gear. I love it.

im not trying to run wot in overdrive or lu. is there not a stall converter available for a lu?if not i guess ill look into building a ford trans and controler. i know that i can build a 5r110 to work.

If you dont plan on WOT then the stock conv works..
otherwise the conv can get pricey.. the problem is
the space between the block and the pump to get any
size conv in there
