Did Dodge change the engine color to orange in late 68 production cars? I thought all 68's were torquoise..
Looking at a 68 Coronet R/T on Detroit60.com

Nope.

The 440 HiPo motors were turquoise in 68

Pretty looking car. Looks to have good bones. But need personal inspection. Not Gold Standard car in any way. But very very nice.

R/T fender bag is way too high mounted. Hopefully it's a stick on badge and not a bolt on with holes in the fender. Otherwise to fix that you are repainting the fenders and more.

Car looks to be made pretty looking. I see bunch of little stuff from a not very experienced Mopar person in the engine compartment.

"everything authentic to its original delivery condition from it's date coded plug wires right down to it's reproduction Group 27 battery. " -Not exactly true.

Cars like this that have everything gone though and painted and made look shiny, can still be mechanically and functionally a mess.

Nice looking car, too bad about the engine color. It even has the early 17" unsilenced air cleaner, would have a red pie tin. The fender tag is kinda hard to read, is the SPD 9/19?

Nice car, they say it's "restored accurate to it's fender tag". Looks like Plymouth exhaust tips. And another thing that irks me on "restored cars" is that the gauges are dirty. Why do all that work and not touch the gauges?

Ad list the production date of 03/68 but clearly 919 on the tag???? Can someone in the know look a tthe front door panels for me, they don't look right. My car has replacements from a regular Coronet and I am trying to verify what the originals would look like, these don't match the examples I have seen.

Thanks

Those are the "cheap seat" '70 Road Runner coupe (non-décor) door panels.

Thanks Dan, so those are not the correct panels for a 68 RT.

These are the correct pattern door panels. That's a nice car, but like others have said, there are a lot of little incorrect details.
