I'm thinking seriously about installing sliders on my Dart while the motor is out this winter. I'm just curious how much it'll change the pinion angle. Do you run a solid bushing in the spring with them? The guys at Speedway have been great every time I've bought from them.

Dizuster runs Speedways on the 62. They seem to have a fair amount of play in the tracks but they appear to be the same part. They are a little noisy but work excellent. Speedway is way cheaper price. Doug

Use the google search at the top "leaf spring sliders" and you'll find a number of threads on the subject.
Basically it allows the spring to move more freely and linear rather than in an arc like the factory shackle.
I have them on my dart.

We put them on the 69 Dart when it was built. I also plan on using a set on the rear of the front leaf springs on my AWB 65 Coronet. On the Dart it made it easier to slide the rear back a little for tire clearances at the front.

Question, are these considered race only, or do they work for a street car? I heard they are noisy.
