Is there a difference between the 273 and the 340 T/A rocker arm shafts? I have some banana groove shafts that I'm trying to find out what they go to. The grooves are a little longer on some and are cut in the opposite direction.

I decided to add a picture.
The top shaft is a NOS 1966-67 shaft for a 273.
Part number 2536526
The lower one I think might be a 340 T/A shaft

1965 273 mechanical rocker shafts don`t have the banana grooves and i had a heck of a time finding the correct welsh plugs at the ends of the shafts. i think the internal diameter on the early shafts were bigger as the plugs that came for a 318/340 etc were too small.
all the best
frank.
