Can anyone find this hood pin kit part number 3508513 and tell me what model it fits? I'm curious if it's model specific. Does it also give lanyard length? I can't find anything on it in my parts book. I did find the 3549611 hood pin kit and it shows that it fits many models. I've previously owned a couple of these 611 kits and they seem generic with 25" lanyards. Thanks for any help.

Hmmm... it's looking like this might be a tough one.

I can only offer an opinion because I have very little numbers knowledge.
It seems to me the pin kit is going to cross over several models, Its the lanyard length that's going to differ.

Well, as much as I hated to do it, I very, very carefully removed a couple of the original staples that were holding the part number tag on and sealing the bag and I slipped the lanyards out. They measure 18" and the pins are the rounded top 1970-71 style. The funny part is they were ordered for a 1969 Charger many many years ago. Didn't 1969 Daytona Chargers have the rounded top pins and 18" lanyards? I'm thinking that this kit would also be correct for 1970-71 Challengers and 1970 Road Runner/GTXs because of the lanyard length. I put them back in the bag put the original staples back where they were. I must be nuts!! lol

I probably should have took a few pics when I had the lanyards removed and laid out for measuring but I didn't. Here are a few of everything back in the original bag with the staples installed. I would have never opened it up if I could have found a length on those lanyards via the part number but everything I tried came up blank for that number.

Last. Another interesting thing, the rubber gaskets for the stainless bezels are not textured like some. They are quite smooth rubber. No instruction sheet either. I'm guessing these were in a box at one point years ago and that plus the instructions are long gone.

Parts bag has 1972 date.....I'm assuming they would be for a 72-3 possibly B-body.
Not saying wouldn't fit others.
Is it a complete kit?
I don't see the 8 bezel screws or the lanyard mounting two.

Hi Terry, that's just a NOS Mopar parts bag that I have in the backgound. I have about 15 NOS parts bags on a roll. T his kit did not come inside one of those bags. All of the chrome bezel mounting screws and the lanyard attatching screws should be in that little tan envelope with the staple on it. It's heavy so I'm sure like the other NOS kits I've had, all the mounting hardware should be in there. I did not open it up.

Here are some shots from one of my kits that came in a box with some parts in an envelope, I have another one that's in a bag like the one shown above (which likely came in a box when sold). Part# on box 3665931 24032

It also may be a superceeded number that replaced the original part number.
These two relics came this way from an old dealership and never opened, ..nothing like rusty staples
The special plates/gskts had been separately packaged.
3586156 Correct for TA fiberglass hood.

That T/A specific kit is really cool Terry. Thanks for posting some pics. Same to you Scott. How long were those lanyards in the kit Scott? 25"? I have a NOS set of 26" lanyards and I was thinking they were for a 1970 Super Bee or R/T. While were on the subject of hood pins, do you think it's just a manufacturing thing when some of the hood pin clips have that "D" shape to the finger area? I have a confirmed 1970 Challenger set of original pins and they are shaped more rounded with no flat area. My 71 Charger R/T had the "D" shaped ones. Could the later cars all have had the "D" style clips?
