I am posting this here as well in the question and answer board. I am looking for any feedback on the 426 Hemi crate engines. I am thinking of buying one of these for a 68 super stock automatic clone. Any and all suggestions are very much appreciated.

Is this going to be a street car? You may want to call Greg at "S/S & A/FX" (623-465-7277) here in Phoenix. He builds 'em for a living. He's helped me a lot & has some of the parts you may need in the future. Just tell him "John" with the blue Hemi Dart referred you.

Crate engines are often built by less-skilled labor and can have undetected flaws. You are much better ahead to have an engine built by a reputable builder, such as Best Machine or Muscle Motors. They will help you pick out the parts you need to meet your goals, rather than a one-size-for-all crate engine that may contain chinese parts.
