Fair enough. Probably a step down from concours is http://www.carburetorusa.com/default.htmThey're in South Jersey near Philadelphia and as of a couple of years ago they did nice rebuild and I think refinishing on some OEM FSJ Motorcraft 2150s. See this thread at IFSJA forum for reference http://www.ifsja.org/forums/vb/showthread.php?t=80335&page=2Quote:
original equipment Holley Restored as in made to look like new. A member contacted me, and he does 100% concours quality for $399. Looking around to get an idea who's service to go with.

Holleys current process does not produce the same results as it did in the 60's/70's, I have received several sets of "done" carbs from them to re-restore to make them more accurate. Here is one example from Holley "as received".
From the "horses mouth",former head of custom shop, we use our dichromate solution as long as possible, the older it is the darker the finish it prodeces !

Thanks, Those all look GREAT. I couldn't find anything on the Holley website about their restorations. Other people on some forums had issues with the Holley resto, and this was several years back. I do recall seeing Holleys resto site but this was sometime ago.
Just inquiring at the moment to see what options are out there.
Thanks
You will also in some cases get incorrect parts,if you look at the 6 pk carbs Scott posted you will see that the set Holley did has the incorrect choke pull.

After I was finished with them
I visited with Scott Smith last spring for an hour or so, and I got to see his finished work in person. It is outstanding!! The pictures look great, but actually seeing the finished product up close is just amazing.
