I just installed new cats whiskers and outer seals to my driver's door (67 GTX) and now the window is almost impossible to crank. Is there some sort of trimming treatment on the new parts needed to make the window work properly?

Not with the good ones, like Topcat or First Place. The older Year One style were like you described and just horrible to use.

They are Top Cat, but purchased a couple years ago.

I've used simple silicone spray to lubricate them, yes it streaks and leaves your window oily for a while but once you clean them a few times the rubber is 'treated' and has less friction
