Well I hope to drag the wife's 71 Challenger out of the back of the garage in the spring and get it running/driving.

I'm not a fender tag/option code expert, I know it was an original green 340 car with auto transmission but that's about it.
Maybe their are some interesting options on it I'm not seeing...feel free to let me know.

It's been buried for the last 8 years since her father passed away.
He brought the car up from Arizona in 1980 and had it cosmetically restored a few years later by one of the best body shops in our area.
Body and paint still look mint thankfully.

The car was rust free but the interior was cooked by the Arizona heat.
He replaced the entire interior with NOS parts.

My wife picked the color when it was painted, she was 12.

We were all pretty devastated by her father's untimely death and really didn't have much motivation to work on it.

The original engine and transmission are long gone.

I pulled it's previous 440 engine/trans. and had the engine bay stripped and repainted to match the exterior color right before it went into it's 8 year exile and it hasn't been touched since.

My wife has told me it's time to get it back out and on the road.

So I hope to get the previous 440 engine and transmission freshened(or maybe find a nice 340 engine and trans. to install) go through all the brakes and suspension and convert it from manual steering to power.

Should be a bittersweet project.

Scheduled production date - most online decoders screw that one up.

Thanks guys.

That was one GREEN car.

It still has it's original locking gas cap.
