The camaro has a 383,Pontiac raised runner heads,Large solid roller cam,1000 cfm carb. glide with a brake, 3500 converter,373 gears and 28x10.5 slicks. My Dakota has a mild 408 with R/T heads, dual plane intake 9.5 converter 3.73 heads M/T pro drag radial 3540 lbs One of the stipulations was heads up motor to motor .500 pro tree. I'll reserve judgement on who had the quicker et. The camera angle can often make it look like the slower car is faster. Looks like he might have been reeling you in at the end but even with an even start I think you still could get by him. What did the time slips look like?

His boss is a good friend of mine and he really wanted to race on the street. We raced twice and I put a MUCH lighter driver in the truck just to see what it would run and he pulled besides us again. WO23Coronet master Joined: Jan 2008 Posts: 4,255 Canada	Is a Powerglide necessary for that kind of car? Seems awfully heavy,underpowered,undergeared and under convertored for a 2 speed. Seems like he has abit more HP than you but if your set ups mild you could step up and beat him (I don't know if he'll be able to get by u with his current set up)
