I would like to know the exact location of the antenna hole in the passenger fender of a 1970 Challenger. There is some debate as to whether mine is in the correct spot or not, and I would really like to fix this issue before paint - smart eh??

Thanks as always

To center of hole is 6-3/8" from hood edge of fender and 8-3/8" along top body line. I checked this on two other sets of fenders I have ( off cars) as well as on my car.

Here's from the hood edge of the fender.

That is exactly what I needed, the photos are perfect. I can't thank you enough for taking the time to do that.

Unless you are doing a factory concour level restoration, consider installing a power antenna. One of my favorite upgrades to our Challenger. Partly driven by the fact that at times I park the the car under my 4 post lift and tired of removing the antenna to do so.

Just out of curiosity: What power antenna did you install? I've been seriously considering this for my Challenger. Thanks.

Obtained it from the Mopar Classic Auto Parts catalog. Had tried a couple other brands but unable to fit to the car.

Is a bit tricky when trying to use the stock antenna bezel as comes on Challenger. Was able to achieve success and stock appearance with the Classic supplied antenna.

Looks and fits well.

Any further interest I will try to recreate and post exactly what I had to do to get a successful installation.

Photo of retracted antenna.

The white washer is a requirement as an insulator. Have yet to find something in chrome appearance that is not a conductor. Black plastic would be ok too. Just have not spent the time yet to find something suitable

Thanks Roger. Don't know "Mopar Classic Auto Parts". Do you mean Classic Industries? I am certainly interested in your "successful install" process. Thanks in advance for any future posts you can make with more detail.

Classic industries. Power antenna and required bezel(if you need one). Uncertain of difference between the 2 listed. Our Challenger, it appears as the way that ME1536 looks.
