If you are building an E-body with a shaker hood, I recommend either buy a hemi k-frame, or have one converted, or use the Arruzza mounts. If your engine is 1/2 high, you'll have shaker fitment problems. If you add a Stage V intake manifold, you'll have problems. Other cars, not so much... A buddy let me try out his shaker to see how it would look using them. Looks like I'll have to pull out the engine and sendin the K member.

Not an optimal solution, but you might use 3/8 spacer between k-frame and rails. Some here said racers have used this method for years. If you dig up the correct measurements you'll probably discover you are 3/8 to 1/2 inch higher than spec. Regardless of what Schumacher says... I'm just waiting for the right time to replace mine with the Arruzza set I bought. Edit: what is the shim kit about? Where do the shims go and how do they change the engine position?
