Seems like the same recall that's been out just expanded.

I wish they'd recall the 2012 model Ram's....the headlights are SCARY bad....I won't even drive my truck at night time unless I have to....

luckily the 2012 Ram 1500 I have is a company truck, if it was mine I would have already returned it and told them where to stick it.

Headlamp prob on a 2012..... first question that pops in my mind is what is your age.

I adjusted the lights on my '11 higher.. Huge difference.. Then I added a 2" level kit up front and had to readjust..lol..I had the pinion nut recall done a year and a half ago.. But I did hear of some bad stories when the nut fails to hold torque.

When you decide to quit, THAT is the moment when you would've succeeded..

not sure that matters, but I'm 34

the headlights are not as good as even my 2000 F150 or wife's 75 Duster

Huh, I bought my Ram 1500 4x4 in January of 2005. So, mine should be on this recall list. That's great. When should I expect a letter?

Rear pinion seal leaks a little too, but I've never worried about that.

Same complaint with the 2012 Tradesman I had. First indication I had Bambi's mom was in the road was when the airbags deployed.

I made sure when I test drove the 2014 Tradesman I did it at night. Major difference. Think they went to a 4 bulb setup over the 2 bulb in the '12's.

That is not some change they made in a certain year, you are just comparing the STANDARD headlights against the OPTIONAL quad headlights.

My 2012 Tradesman with STANDARD headlights had 2 bulbs in it.

My 2014 Tradesman with STANDARD headlights has 4 bulbs in it.

Pretty solid comparison I think..

I've worked on several 2012 and 2013 rams with headlight complaints and found the original philips headlight bulbs had black soot on the inside of the glass…….some so bad you could hardly see the filament when the trucks were 6 months old!
Changed them to sylvania ultra's and it made a big difference.
