I'm sorry I can't remember the exact name but google gas tank restoration in Pennsylvania. I think the name is Moyers. They did mine for the Newport. Good turn around and excellent work.

Edit: it is Moyers fuel tank renu. They have a website. I was very happy with the tank and service.

I had Moyer Fuel Tank Renu at www.gas-tank.com

Looks like its a franchised business with dealers around the country. http://www.gastankrenu.com/loc-dealer.htm

I did it on a 56 Dodge. There is simply nothing new available and nothing that I could make work in the stock location.

You did not say what kind of car, my advice is search for a reproduction for your application It will be less expensive.

Quanta seems to have the largest selection.

If you do have it done Moyers does a great job, and I expect this will last FOREVER.

I did DIY on a rare tank with a 3 step kit from Eastwood.

Clean and prep uses strong detergent, muriatic acid and acetone. Then a sealer. Worked well. Applying the sealer without thorough prep can make a peeling mess. For disposal, the muriatic acid went into a plastic bucket with crushed limestone... let it soak for a day or so and dump it on the driveway. Acetone went into a steel bucket and evaporated over a few days.

There is an outfit in Iowa that sandblasts the inside of the tank then sealer. I don't have any contact info though. I know their treatment of a 47 PW tank has held up great.
