in the process of redoing the steering column on dads roadrunner. got it tore apart and the 'gear' the locks the steering wheel was gone, but the funny thing is, there was never a hole drilled for the roll pin in the shaft. did earlier 1970 models not have the lock? This is with out a doubt the original steering column. thanks!

Hey Kevin,

My '70 Bee has an SPD of 929 and also a Lynch Rd car. It has the column lock. My last two '70 RR's were also early October '69, LR cars and they both had the locks as well.
