Ferrera, Manley, K-motion, etc.
Which brand would y'all run for a Hot street/strip set up.

I have had all types in bracket drag race motors, usually cheap as I could run safely and some of the better ones in a NHRA legal stocker motor. Bottom line is get the best ones you can afford, there is power in the right valves. I would probally choose Manley Pro Flows for a street strip motor that I was not looking to out run the fasteset guys on the street, Ferrera if I was looking to outrun the fastest guys

I've been using Pioneer stainless valves in my 360 engines for many years. They use the good stainless material, very competitively priced and I've never had a problem.

I'm at work and don't have their catalog handy for more dtails, but you can contact them for sources. & more info.

Ferrera are good pieces for the money IMO. I use them on most stuff I do. If money is an issue the Manleys are my next choice. My engine has Victory 2.40 intakes, that big enough But they are made of some goofy expensive material.

We run Ferrea's in pretty much everything, unless it has Ti.

what size valves?
there's a lot of choices out there. we use pretty much everything mentioned so far and also stock and have great prices on REV stainless valves.

219 Int: 181 Exh: Stainless.
I have those on the heads(Indy SR's)right now that came from Indy itself.
The heads are standard port size with a stage 1 shine done at Compu-flo five years back. I kept the standard port size so that I could have some velocity and torque on the street where this engine sees weekend time. The cam is a custom Comp 630 lift solid with a 271 Dur:

Well, the reason I'm lookin' at valves is because I believe my heads are sick and the valves are the original Indy's supplied when I purchased them from those NICE GUYS in Indiana.
I'm not sure what brand they are but, being that I am now looking at a overhaul of the heads including a decent re-porting to wake 'em up, I will want to look at quality valve pieces.
I found that the guides had a little to much inconsistence between each other as far as side play. I'm about to take 'em off the engine this week.
Hope I don't find shiny cylinders to add injury to insult.

I'm sorry Hemi-i
Only men that are up this late as you are may be absolutely up to no good.

I'll debate between The Porter or Modern to get the job right this time.

I recently bought a used set of Indy 440-1, they have Manley valves in them. I don't know if they came that way, where ordered that way or how and why there in there. take your retainers off and check the top of the stems to see if there mark with abrand or not, the cheaper valves are not usually marked with the makers name Manly makes more than one quality of valves also
