Hi All

We're getting very close to a roadworthy inspection on a mates 70 Challenger R/T. We've had a number of minor issues along the way which you blokes on this forum have been really helpful in answering.

Hopefully this is the last one but you never know!

So we've pretty much bought a complete new wiring loom from Year One and have just about everything going but had an issue with the interior light. Ordered a new switch from US, and a couple of weeks later it arrives and everything's is good.

In the meantime we've had an intermittent fault with the ignition switch loom and it seems there is a bad contact in the connector between the loom in the column and the main loom (I'm sure those who have had to deal with this area know what a pain it is to get to!!) - at this stage we have the old turn signal indicator switch loom in.

So we have a bit of smoke coming out of the top of the column and the thing wont start sometimes - jiggle the connector and she'll start but have the smoke (only a little bit but its a worry). So we change out that loom and switch (Painful) and same story - intermittent starting issue (jiggle connector and she'll start) but now the indicators don't work.

The horn works, Brake lights work, parking lights work but the indicators don't emergency lights wont either.

Ignition switch is NOS all wiring is New Year one stuff.

Has anyone come across this before?? can anyone shed some light???

Very frustrating!!!

Thanks

Shannon
