The crane gears DO work as long as the cam is brand new.

Is your roller cam a steel billet core or a cast endural core ?(they look like the stock OEM cams)

This makes no sense to me. The cam does not wear (if previously used with bronze gear), has no special coating, etc. so what difference does it make if its new or not? I open to an explanation but I suspect this is an old wives tale perpetuated by right-wing liberal religious fanatics intent on striking fear into the average joe.
