i'm building a 74 charger and going to install a newer 5.7 or 6.1 motor and was wondering if anybody else has done this and if so what issues they may have encountered. I know it just wont bolt up and installing the computer, exhaust,is a pain to boot

It's certainly been done.

Forabodiesonly may have a little more populated New Hemi forum. There are some build threads on here as well.

Yea..I was thinking about installing a 5.7 Hemi into a 71 Charger that I will be building but I added up the cost and it is way too expensive so I am going to build a nice 383 and an overdrive transmission instead.
