Were there both the black pebble grain and wood grain rallye packages available on 68-70 Super Bees. Why was it if the R/T was the top of the line model it had the standard horozontal style speedometer?

1968 "rallye gauges" have vertical ridges & are Dodge ONLY.
1968 Charger was Dodge's top "specialty car" & "rallye gauges" were STANDARD, Coronet R/T had OPTIONAL "rallye gauges".
Mid-year Super Bee introduction, on the heals of Plymouth's successful Road Runner, Dodge's one-up-man-ship "rallye gauges" STANDARD on Super Bee.

1969 "rallye gauges" have pebble grain (wood grain on Charger SE & R/T SE ONLY) & are Dodge ONLY.
1969 Charger was still Dodge's top "specialty car" & "rallye gauges" were STANDARD, Coronet R/T had OPTIONAL "rallye gauges".
Super Bee continued its one-up-man-ship of Plymouth & "rallye gauges" were STANDARD on Super Bee.

1970 "rallye gauges" have pebble grain and are STANDARD in Road Runner, & Charger/Charger 500 ONLY
1970 "rallye gauges" have wood grain and are STANDARD in GTX, Charger SE, Charger R/T & R/T SE, and Super Bee - OPTIONAL in Coronet R/T.
& for '70 Dodge one-ups the Road Runner again with wood grain for the Super Bee STANDARD (missed that one )

Wow! I am impressed with your knowledge of this often misunderstood topic! Thank you for clearing it up. So when I see a 70 Super Bee with a wood grain ralleye dash, someone changed it out and it should be black pebble grain only?

My 70 Super Bee has a wood grain dash in it and it has never been changed.

1968 "rallye gauges" have vertical ridges & are Dodge ONLY.
1968 Charger was Dodge's top "specialty car" & "rallye gauges" were STANDARD w/clock, Coronet R/T had OPTIONAL "rallye gauges" w/tach & clock.
Mid-year Super Bee introduction, on the heals of Plymouth's successful Road Runner, Dodge's one-up-man-ship "rallye gauges" STANDARD w/clock on Super Bee.

1969 "rallye gauges" have pebble grain (wood grain on Charger SE & R/T SE ONLY) & are Dodge ONLY.
1969 Charger was still Dodge's top "specialty car" & "rallye gauges" were STANDARD w/clock, Coronet R/T had OPTIONAL "rallye gauges" w/tach & clock.
Super Bee continued its one-up-man-ship of Plymouth & "rallye gauges" were STANDARD w/clock on Super Bee.

1970 "rallye gauges" have pebble grain and are STANDARD in Road Runner, Charger, Charger 500 ONLY (clock included w/Charger 500)
1970 "rallye gauges" have wood grain and are STANDARD in GTX, Charger SE, Charger R/T & R/T SE, and Super Bee - OPTIONAL in Coronet R/T w/tach & clock.
& for '70 Dodge one-ups the Road Runner again with wood grain for the Super Bee STANDARD

I added some info on "rallye gauges" with clock and/or tach & clock (tic-tock-tach)
..... so, the b-body "rallye gauge" tach/clock blank is '70 ONLY & not found in Coronet R/Ts or Charger 500s

So for '70 SuperBee the tach delete was an option?

No, the rallye gauge package with woodgrain trim was standard and the tach was an extra cost option.

Dan has it covered.

Dan some of that conflicts with info in the '70 data books. Was there a change after the books were printed?

68rt's (sb's and 500's?) also had dash panels that differed from the base models in that it was a clear plastic with ribs and painted black on the back side. I do not believe it was available on any other models that year.
On the horizontal speedo was it 150mph only on the r/t? or hemi only?

What specifically? I started with my educated guess & used the data book to fine tune my post. I've had a couple '70 Plymouth b-bodies, but NO '70 Dodge b-bodies.

then like the RADIO being an extra cost option and radio delete being the excepted term .... TACH DELETE is also correct for the extra cost option ...

same as Air Grabber delete , Bucket seat delete , console delete ... there may actually be bucket and console delete , 3 spoke woodgrain steering wheel delete , super track pack delete ...

My 69 superbee is A12 delete ...

You're correct, I saw this page & failed to notice "CLOCK" was still EXTRA for Super Bee (even though they had "rallye cluster" STANDARD). & can't find a '70 Bee b'cast w/o a tach.

My '69 Super Bee has A62 on the fender tag. I'm glad I found this thread as I was wondering what type dash it had originally.
