Shot of a 70 Bee similar to mine, is that the bracket supporting the regulator to the firewall?

Yes......another 70 only thing!......just make sure you don't over paint stuff, you want it grounded!.....check with a meter later to confirm continuity

The bracket should be plated Gold Cad IIRC
