The wipers quit on my sons charger due to the plastic button breaking at the wiper motor to long linkage. I pulled one off of one of my parts cars but when I tried to install it the plastic button on the other end (far driver side) is also old and broken. does anyone sell these and is there an easier way to install them? thanks.

You can buy the nylon grommets from Advance Auto or similar parts store in a wiper grommet assortment pack. May have to buy 2 or more packs to get enough of the right type.

Remove the plastic screens over linkage pockets at bottom of windshield. Remove the wiper arms from the wiper shafts. Remove all wiper linkage from this car at this point and proceed with grommet replacement.

Re-install linkage as an assembly and snap assembly onto wiper motor as last connection step. Re-install wiper shafts and then wiper arms. Put the screens back on.

Not difficult once you realize the linkage comes in and out as an assembly.

Farm and Fleetstore has them in a 3 pack by my house. . The brand is called HELP. Maybe ebay would have them. I have done this on my car without removing the assembly. Not fun, but got it done.

It's a lot easier if it is taken out and installed as an assembly.

What does the linkage bushing look like at the motor connection? We late B guys have a whale of a time getting the big bushing. They're being repo'd but with mixed results. I was wondering how this setup differs from the 75 up.

Same as the 74, take it out as a unit, and reinstall as a unit. Those "holes" will eat you alive trying to snap it together in the cowl.

I bought 2 packs of bushings from the HELP section at o,riellys, took the entire unit out of one of my parts cars and replaced all 3 bushings, installed it as a unit and wipers work like new. Thanks for the help

The small bushings are still available from Chrysler. They were also used on 87-96 Dakotas and few other applications. If I was at work I could get you the part number. The ones you buy in the help sections at parts stores generally don't last real long.

Those plastic pieces are difficult to press on, so I use ordinary liquid dish soap to make the install go easier. Never put oil or grease on them!
