Do you have to pull the whole bracket out to change the cable are will it pull thru the firewall with out removing it? It is going to be a pain to take the bracket out because of where the bolts are.

There is a little plastic pin where the cable ball attaches to the pedal bracket. Pull that out and the cable ball will then drop out of that bracket. Then there is a clip that holds the cable casing to the firewall. Remove that. Disconnect the cable from the engine and it should now be free to remove.

^^^^^^^^Right on the money! DON'T lost the little plastic plug at the top of the pedal assembly.
