We got there a little late so I didn't get to meet and see a lot of people. I had a heck of a time just getting the car to run halfway decent. It was off all day. I finally made a half decent pass but went red by .15. 10.98 on a 10.98 dial. First round loss too. Great weather and a lot of people. We were so far down the track we couldn't see the board..

Had a great time. Love this track. It is amazing to me after 2yrs of playing with this combo that I am learning new things. A 15min change and I picked up 2mph. Didn't reset the record, but went a 10.80 @ 125.5mph. Need to do a little more playing with the suspension to get it to hook a little harder.

Anybody know how to get event photos and pics of the cars on the track. I was so busy I didn't get to check out my car photos at the booth.

Made it to the semi's. Guy took a shot at us (0.008 light) and won. He backed off in the final and Danny Householder won. Great day of racing, but a lot of oil downs. No pics, but here's a link to the results: MIR Race Results

It was a good day. I ran my best ever ET at 10.65. I raced in the NSS class for the first time. What a group of classy folks. I was dealing with a pesky vacuum leak and several of them came over to help me locate and fix it so I could continue to race.
I raced in 2 classes and made it to the finals of Street E/T and lost a very close race on a double break out.
Hey Joe I know you said your 60's were in the 1.40's. So I was curious what your best 60 was on the Cal Tracs and what your best 60 was on leaf springs ? It was great to see you again Joe as "Mitch" the guy who towed me told me he knows you pretty good. Ron

He didn't back off his foot slide off the brake pedal and went in deep and his car reacts fast and didn't want to red light and it cost him.No big deal we had a good time and went home with acouple extra bucks in our pocket.
That explains it. He was pretty good on the tree all day.
BTW, 440Jim was pitted across from us. 1st time out in a year and half. Made some nice low 9 sec passes with the new all aluminum wedge. Picked up right where he left off.
Don't need to take a shot at the tree to be .008 in a footbrake car... I was DEAD late (.080) and he looked to be on a run for dead-on based on his incrementals. Pretty easy to guess what the outcome of that one was gonna be. Car looked great BTW.
