I can't see why anyone would want to go with a smaller rim than was stock The very nature of our trucks (in daily use, as a truck) is to be used to capacity and not hobbled by undersized rubber and besides they look dumb with a small tire in a huge wheel well
I run a NV4500 5 speed 3.55 235 75/15 and get good mpg and performance is great for fast hole shots running a whiplash roller cam in my 85 stepside.
the 94 ram with 16" 265/75/15 is a little tall for the 3.55 nv3500 5 speed. so the 15" 235s put some zip into the wore out mag 318/3500.
yes they are small in those huge wheel openings. but we plan to slam it down with a flip flop on the rear axle then tub the bed for 12" wide rim with 33x21.50x15 M/Ts
for now my son piglet is doing the 1 wheel peel with the goofy looking little tires with a big smile.
we run what we brung

OK, I am running some 15" M/T Sportsmans on the front of the race truck and they look dinky.

thats the way my skinnys looked with a 165/15 tire but once the front drops it looks way better fattys & drag skinnys. I see a lot of ram low rider trucks around here with 10 inch wide rims running the 195/50/15 all 4 corners looks way better than the long bed c10 chebbys with 13" wire spoke low riders with a 185/80/13 tire I guess it boils down to what "LOOK" you want when stylin around token on a # and diggin on the radio.
