Just had a nice chat with Patrick@ pro systems. We used to work together years ago, was nice to see how he is doing. Anyhow this pro form 950 that was " stuck" on my little engine masters 318 I suspect wasn't the dynocarb I was told it was, and having sat around likely for years, it seems to be full of gremlins. Rather than buying a new carb, gonna have these folks go trough it stem to stern, set it in the ballpark for this engine, so I at least know the carb is fresh and in good working order. Probably should have done this before I ever raced the car..... Blowing out dirty needles, leaks, etc,etc Thought about buying a new carb, but it's a bunch cheaper to have this one refurbished, and calibrated to my combo

Thanks, thump. He said they redo the emulsion circuits, will pretty much replace everything. I told him a few basics I know about how the carb is currently setup, he said it wasn't remotely close to where it needs to be. At least this way I will know it works correctly and have a known good working unit. Something I definately don't have now. Kinda makes me mad the guy I bought the motor from gave me this junk carb that in no way was used and properly tuned on an engine masters dyno. When I went back and read the article on this motor, I noted they used a Holley 950hp, this is a proform... So definately not the carb I was told it was. It is what it is I guess. Otherwise the little motor seems fine

First, people need to keep it real and be straight up on parts or whatever it is. 2nd, tuneable circuits and lowered ifr`s make it WAY more tuneable and sensitive once it starts comin around. Good luck..........

I'm sure Patrick will have it working good when you get it back. He's done some great work for me.
