I have been thinking alot lately because winter is coming. So with that being did I'm thinking about going to a SC. Just for the engine part what will need to change to go supercharger?? R3 block engine and 14.5-1 compression.

Pistons for the compression ratio for the fuel your going to use, same on the cam change, you need them for the application, racing , street or whatever What will you do with the car with the blower and which type S.C. are you thinking of using, Roots, Centrifugal, Screw or ?

So pistons because of the high compression and camshaft? I had plans to put a bigger camshaft anyways. Thinking about a Procharger. Also I have have to get a blow thru carb?

pistons will have to be changed. You won't need as much cam, or converter. You also won't need as much gear. What are you trying to do? With boost you can have a drivable fast car w/o all the craziness of a radical engine. You can boost prep your carb or have one built. Depending on how much boost you may want a cooler or at least run Meth/H2O injection. Injection is and easier set up. I guess it all depends on how much power you'd like to make.

I have a 8 inch 5900 converter and 4.56 gears which I plan to change the gear always. So I need a 9 inch converter maybe? Just trying to get an idea on what I need and if my pockets are deep enough. Just trying to go kinda fast. Its a going to be a W9 motor

To give good advice we need to know a little bit more on the specific application details, bracket race, street and strip or heads up racing on the street or what? All the W9 stuff is pretty exoitic to start with If your wanting to get the best set up to start with, going to EFI, Electronic fuel Injection, would be way better than a blow through carb. to start with I have a freind who races heads up on the west coast, they used a crank driven Pro Charger on race gas with EFI and a intercooler and went way, way fast

Grudge car! Its a 48 degree motor just going to freshen It up and thought I would set up my game, I think i'm going to just stay with a N/A motor. Would love a SC motor, thanks for the info.
