Is it crazy to assume (or perhaps wish) that parts from a D100 will fit an A100. I'm having trouble finding certain parts for my newly acquired '65 A100. I need a new turn signal switch, will a '65 D100 switch fit? I'd like to find a pair of sunvisors, will D100 visors fit? I've been looking for a left side tie rod end, will a D100 left side tie rod end fit? See what I'm getting at? I know they are two completley different trucks, but I guess I'd like more of a parts interchange. Am I possibly assuming (or wishing) too much? Is there even a remote chance some parts will interchange?

I would think yes on the tie rod ends. On them I'd have my parts house lookup those 2 apps (D100/A100) & see if the numbers in the book are the same

It may be that since the A-100 used the straight axle front end the outer tie rods off of a W-100 may be the right ones too.
As for some of the other items much of the interior stuff may be A-100 specific.

Try Rare Parts. They had the unobtanium idler arm for my 72 Imperial.

my moog master catalog lists #es288R for the right side tierod end for 64-70 a100 and #es342L for the left side end. the 61-68 d100 takes the es288R[same as the a100] for the right side, and es288L for the left side. i'm not sure what the difference may be, as i don't have a pic of either. also, it seems that the left side a100 # is the only application listed in the book. but i'm wondering if the a100 "may" have a "very long" left side end and a "standard length" right side end. i'm pretty positive the tapers would be the same. if so, you may get by in using the right & left ends listed for the d100 and fabbing up the center section of the tie rod. again, just throwing out something you might be able to use. and for future reference, the king bolt sets fit the a100 64-70 and the d100 from 57-68, and 70-71. that # is 8453BorN. for some reason the 69 d100 king bolt kit is listed as 8508B. draglink assembly for the a100 is ds702[64-70] manual steering.
