Converted my 68 Charger from manual drum to power disk brakes. used all original parts, however the piece that attaches to the brake pedal is almost 1/2" short. Brake switch does not even touch. Do they make a longer rod? Did Mopar ever run a 4 speed with power disk brakes? HELP!!!

Yes they did. I Have a 1970 RR with a/c and 4 speed ,went thru like 3 boosters till I purchased the correct one from pirate- jack .the (ram man) also has the correct one... you will go crazy to find the correct rod length .. keep in mind you still may have to move the brake light switch to the other mounting holes that should be on the bracket as well...just saying just completed my resto may 2014

If you are going from non power brake to power brakes. The peddle is now lower an you need to move the brake light switch look up at the switch whereit bolts theres two holes it can fit to. The brake peddle will be around 2" lower then the clutch peddle

Don't know the rod code ,purchased the whole booster from pirate -jack ,ram man explained to me the rods were not serviceable , that the whole booster needed to be disassembled to change the rod to the correct one.so I purchase a new booster cheaper than a rod change. I had the original booster to the car ,I was missing the rod (after 3 body shops )the rod was lost .pat (call Wayne at the ram man he will explain the whole thing about the rods)..

Power brake pedals are closer to the floor no matter WHAT kind of transmission it has. And this is across the line with all body lines. The service manual explains it. They want your heel on the floor so you don't throw everybody through the windshield.

I run a manual transmission E with PB and just changed my booster. If the rod you are referring to is the short tie rod that attaches to the brake pedal I have an extra. Measure and post the center to center length of yours and I'll measure mine and we can compare.

If it is the rod in the booster itself different story as posted above.
