Found a car for sale, advertised as a 64 Belvedere, 383 car, 4spd, factory radio & heater delete. I like the car a lot, but it seemed suspect (the rivets on the tag concerned me). Checked the body number and the VIN and it is a Fury 2 door hardtop, badged as a Belvedere. Seller is sure it is an original motor, tranny and rear end car. It clearly isn't.
What started as me really interested in buying the car has turned into me trying to help the guy figure out what he really has (or doesn't have). Through doing all of that I came across this site and am really impressed. I still like the car the guy has but I think he paid a lot of money for something that someone spent a lot of time cloning, and he doesn't want to lose money and I am not willing to overpay for it.
It took less than 36 hours to confirm what I was worried about on here and that is impressive. Now I cant stay off the site. Looking at cars for sale... I have always been a pre 40's car guy but have had the bug to get into some muscle stuff here lately and really would like to own a Mopar, just trying to decide what I want.
This car in particular is what it is. Its a good car, runs good and looks good, it just isn't what it is packaged to be. That's ok, as long as everyone going in knows about it and is paying for that.
Thanks again for all the help.
