70 challenger with original door panels, used a set of the TopCat whiskers and inside window sweeps, seemed to be the best and most accurate available. The outer ones that attach to the top of the door and quarter fit and function fine, but the inner window sweeps that attach to the door panels want to come off when I roll the windows up. This seems to only happen on the doors, and it is worse on the driver side. I can't roll the windows up for fear of the darn things coming off! I was careful during installation to make sure they seated all the way onto the panels and used the 3 metal clips that fit on the inner top of the door panels that hold the door panels to the door. Am I missing something here??
TIA
Jess

Yeah, it's hopped up to over 160...

I didn't replace my inside sweeps for fear of this.

I was thinking of using some 3M glue of some sort. Either weatherstripping glue or they make glue to glue metal insignias on car body's that might work good?

I considered this when I was replacing mine, but they were so brittle and cracked that I just went ahead and replaced them. I am considering windshield urethane, but it is SOOOO messy!
Off topic, Gary, are you coming to the Clay City Mopar thing next month?

Maybe? Been a long time since I was at Clay city. Does the Doc still own the place? It was one of the most pleasant places and a real good hooking track to race at, I do know that.

Couldn't say, as to who owns it, but I plan to be there Sat. Gonna enter the challenger in the show and maybe set up a swap space and sell a few parts.

Hope to see you (all) there.

Use some 3M weatherstrip adhesive ( used to come in a squeeze tube) and let it dry well....

The originals were somewhat crimped on.
When I remove mine I slide them off the ends and pre-crimp the new ones and slide them on.
Be super careful if you do this as the stainless is very thin and can mark/dent.
If you have them already on (or have pre-painted the door panels so are worried that the paint will come if you slide them on), make up a support, turn the door panel upside-down and have someone hold it, then lightly strike the backside of the sweep with something sufficiently wide (make a wood 'chisel' with a flat surface and is about 2" long).
Somewhat difficult to explain, but hopefully this gives an idea.

Thanks Ron, but this is exactly what I did when I installed them. The problem starts near the front of the window, about a foot from the end, when the window rubs the sweep coming up out of the door. I have to physically hold the driver side front on whenever I roll the window up.
