My drivers side seat back cover split a seam. It appears to be regal insert and coachman skirts. Can someone confirm this for me please. And part 2 of the question is should I replace the foam at the same time. The existing doesn't feel hard nor flakes so to speak.Car for most part has been in good surrondings re: weather and temp.

Your main seat foam is probably OK. The new foam is high density so it is not quite as soft and comfortable as the old IMO.
