My car has westinghouse highbeams and ge lowbeams, is this correct, or should all be westinghouse? Car has 38,000 miles and the dust pattern on the rear of them is exactly the same, date codes are in the ballpark, owned since 1979.
Most birds have Westinghouse lamps, however it is certainly possible with Chrysler to find some GE lamps!!! My bird had all Westinghouse with date codes of June and July 1969.
One way to tell if they are correct is to look at the fluting on the lens. If it has wide fluting, they are correct for the bird. If they have narrow spaced fluting, they are later lamps and are incorrect. The first photo shows the later narrow fluting on a GE lamp.
