Been doing a little bench racing with a fellow racer about my rear gear set up I currently run a 5.13 car 60ft at 1.24 goes through traps at 8200 rpm I ran it by Strange Tech they said if I went to a 4.88 my MPH would go to 156 MPH but would lose 60ft time, My question is would this 156 MPH equate to a lower E.T while losing 60ft time.

I trap at the same rpm but use a 4.56 gear(this is
with my W-9 405ci)... I think your turning more than
the peak HP by more than the 10% that I like to run

Is it still pulling good at that rpm.. I think my
engine was running out at 8200 and 152.. I was thinking
about going 4.30s but I sold the engine and have to use
my back up and run slower(only aloud to run 10.0 now
due to health)

I just dynoed my on a chassis dyno so the best I could
figure is it made peak HP at 8000 and I went through
the traps at 8200 but it seemed like it was out of
power before that.. thats why I wanted to try the 4.30s
but if you have a engine dyno sheet that says you make
peak at 7900 or so you should be in the park

Just a guess here but you could be running out of power
like I think I was and the lesser gear might help..
but if your torque curve is falling off like mine, then
I think a lesser gear could help.. just a guess
