I did some dyno testing on this. The Vanke modification, with 750 carbs was worth about 20 rear wheel horse over stock intake and carbs, and is a very easy modification to do. A stock intake, completely gutted an turned into a single plane is worth 35 horse over a Vanke.

Contact www.restorick.com and ask him to put you in contact with Domingo, he can get a steel Hemi scoop made for you. Not cheap but they are very convincing replicas. If you need a source for some stock appearing Hemi carbs with 750 (or more) CFM each, I can help you with that!

Thanks Joel for the replies. I guess you are the only one on here to have worked on a street hemi. I see you are doing a RO23 car. we would like to get our hands on a factory or steel hood scoop any ideas where?
Kramer has a real one on Ebay right now:

Nothing against Domingos' scoop, but if you are restoring a real RO23, I would use an original scoop if possible.
