In a couple weeks i am going to get my ez-1 heads worked over and flowed. Anyone had this done? What are some realistic numbers to look for? We are going to flow them before any thing is done then just see what we can do to improve them.

No idea, but I have already run a 9.81 on pump gas with OOTB EZ-1 heads....

And last week with a different carb, I now have a new best 1/8th mile pass of 6.14 at over +111mph, which they tell me translates to a 9.64 in the 1/4...But is still not proven by me running that quick in the 1/4, but we will see.

Nick over @ Compu-flo did mine last year if I remember correct they flowed 346 int and 236 on the exh . I have to find my sheet.

They work good either way though

71 demon stock stroke 440/indy ez-1 running 10.10 @ 132.14 mph in the 1/4 and 6.36 @ 107.46 mph in the 1/8 not in the same weekend but It did it then I sold it.

They work well enough to make 900 hp on my 514 without using an offset rocker arm. Talk to Dwayne at Porter Racing Heads about head work. He can take care of anything you need done.

Are these max wedge ports? I`m going to be looking at a new top end early next year to replace my standard port eddies and don`t want an exotic valve train to mess with. Any flow sheets Andy?

I bought my EZ heads from Dwayne Porter and all he did was clean up the bowls and make sure the valve job was good. And he just opened up the end of the intake ports to max wedge size. He told me they all have max wedge ports but the basic EZ heads size the ports down to standard 906 size ports at the opening of the ports. About 1/4 to 1/2" deep is standard size and then they are max wedge size for the rest of the ports. So he just opened the ports up about 1/2" deep to max wedge size. He flowed them and they flowed 329 at .600 on the intakes. They work fine for my combo and have been trouble free. Ron

My heads are MW ports but they use the stock rocker arms. There is another version of the EZ heads that use the 440-1 offset intake rocker arms but I didn't step up to those. My heads flow a little over 360 cfm on Dwayne's bench.

My brother traded a guy for a set of the big EZ heads that use the offset rockers and have the 325cc intake ports. Mine are the basic that use the standard rockers. Thats one reason I used the basic EZ's as they use the standard rockers and the exh port is not raised. Ron

Nice! What is the rundown on that Andy? Can you post a dyno sheet? Parts combo? Thanks! Ted

Tboomer, here is a link to an earlier 505" version of Andy's motor in Mopar Muscle. It has since been rebuilt and optimized.

We are getting ready to put the motor back in the 'cuda. I had the heads opened up by Compu-Flow. Nick managed to get 343 / 242 @ .700 with a full port job. The heads originally had bowl work and flowed 326 / 229 @ .700. They performed well 10.95 @ 3450 with me. 500 ci.

I have the 295 CNCd version and had Dwayne Porter handle the valve job, clean up etc. They flow 340@.600 and 355 @.700 with max wedge ports and stock rockers.
