I have a set of e body sport mirrors that I installed only to find out later when I tried to mount the control part to the door panel that the threaded part is missing on the driver side part that the toggle goes through. It looks like it is squeezed into place with three or four prongs. Anyone ever repaired this on one of these mirrors? I would have to find a donor control part and remove just the threaded piece somehow I guess.

You need the tool to install the rivets. Maybe someone will chime in as to where you can get the tool from. Here are the rivets.

The treaded part is missing, anyone ever tried to install that part over the control lever?
