He won't reply to my messages or emails I may have asked him so many questions & such that he didn't want to lie so much & get caught The letter code in the VIN question ended our conversation as it seems That or the request for the codes from the data plate that he said was present

I've run into a guy who claims his truck is one of less than 100 77 D150 Custom with a 440
Since there is no possible way to prove this, he could say whatever.
I have one 2wd shortbed, two 2wd Longbeds and 5 clubcabs in registry. 4wd's? Have 15 shortbeds.
No way to assess that, no numbers for 77, but the car guru says 121 for 76 model, and 74 units for 78... soon who knows...sure there is something somewhere...but it has not surfaced yet.

Bob... I still have to differ there, seen plenty of ssb 77 and a few 78 trucks with an in cab tank that was auxiliary. Just to blow your mind a little, and I will have to look up the code, but there is a code that is for a special tank configuration in cab only, not in frame, and was on 76 and 77 d100 trucks.. have a 76 like this in my yard...

78 small block PW. There wasn't a switch or a decal on the dash for one obvious reason.
