Depends on who's there...But I can tell you who to NOT get a set from... Even if you would happen to find a good one from "the bumper boys" the finish does'nt hold up...I've seen too many fall into the trap..Also do a search and see all the old posts and you be the judge..

Looks like Bumper Boyz, Tri-city plating, and Stephens Performance are listed under the bumper category. The Stephens performance doesn't listed having the 73-74 RR bumpers. Anyone have experience with either?

I would contact Tri City - http://www.tricityplating.com/

If they have any in stock they could bring them for you.

The only guys who bring any inventory is Bumper Boyz. Tri-city only set up a booth with samples (probably since they redo your bumpers - not cores) and I've never seen Steven's with any bumpers either.

Keep in mind that Stevens is a parts guy, not a chrome plater. And bumpers take up a lot of space.

Personally I'd have my own replated so I know I'm not getting someone else's traded in crap or something off a wreck that was straightened with an axe (no kidding ... look at the back side of some of the Bumper Boyz stuff and you'll swear they used an axe !!)

In fact, before I'd ever buy a Bumper Boyz unit I'd buy a repro from AMD !!

I arranged to drop my bumpers off to them at Carlisle . I'm thinking you pay to ship and they pay to ship back if i recall . Was about 850.00 and they even repaired a small dent/buckle on the rear bumper . Was a 70 Roadrunner

I got a bumper from them at the Nats for my 69 D200 pick-up as they had it in stock! It cost $295 plus the core which I took off my truck at the show. I could not get my brackets off so they took down my info and promised to send them back once the got home from the show. The brackets arrived 2 weeks later! I would not buy bumper from any other source.

I don't see any pricing information on the site, I appreciate the feedback! I really don't want to spend all the money getting rechromed bumpers and have something I can't stand looking at in a year or two. I sent Tri-city an email and am going to follow up tomorrow with a call, maybe I'll get lucky and they'll have some in stock they can bring to Carlisle!

Last year tri-city quoted $ 750. per bumper to rechrome mine for my 69 rr.. That was "sight unseen".

I believe the Stephens bumpers would be AMD bumpers since he sets up selling all AMD mercandise.

I've used bumperboys for years..2 year warranty..had one issue with the finish and they took care of it with no questions..currently have two on my R/T I bought almost 2 seasons ago and they look good. When I got mine two seasons ago they cost 400 plus the core.

I have never heard anything bad about tri city...all remarks have been positive but they work your bumprs and the car is down for at least 6 weeks. You can send to them in the winter and save by picking up at carlisle in the spring

I bought a pair of AMDs for my 70 RR, not from Stephens, thinking it would be a fast fix. Got them and no way I would put them on my car and sent them back. So there isn't a way, unless you get lucky and they have a set already done, to just walk into Carlisle and carry home new quality bumpers.

However I have bought several sets of bumpers from Stephens and they have been lifetime guaranteed! He takes your good cores and sends them off to his plater. When you get them back they are show quality! I have had a set on my RR vert for almost 15 years and they still look brand new. Sometimes he has a few sets already done so call him and see if he does and can bring them. Other wise you will have to ship to Tri or to Stephens. Good re-chromed bumpers are worth the trouble and the money. They aren't cheap.
