We have a '98 Stratus - Runs good until its warmed up and comes to a stop sign, then it dies.
It has to sit for about 20 minutes, then it fires right back up, and repeats the same thing.
Any ideas???

Thanks in advance!!

Wally.

check for codes, and see whats up. the crank position sensor causes your problem, but i'd test first, instead of throwing parts at it.

on the distributor. They are junk. Also bad about the EGR valves sticking open causing a hard/ no start.

Distributors and crank sensors. Either could be your problem. Its also possible you have a fuel pump starting to fail. Check for codes.
FYI, we had to replace a crank sensor on one a few weeks ago. They like to get stuck in the trans bellhousing where they are bolted in. Very inaccessible. We had to pull the trans to remove it. Good luck.
