Does any one know if the door on a 2 door sedan is the same length as the door on a 2 door hardtop?I know the window frame on the sedan is different ,as the hardtop doesn't have it,but is the length the same?I want to convert my 4 door to a 2 door sedan ,but my 4 door is a belvedere II ,and I want to keep the side trim,so would the trim off the hardtop fit the sedan?I don't think they made Belvedere II 2 door sedans???

Really. I've sold a lot of H/T doors to guys that say they are going to convert them to sedan doors. What is different about them?

I can't remember where I read it but I thought the Sedan doors were different at the latch area. Seems I remember hearing the Convertible doors were the same as the sedan and are the best ones to use when making sedan doors. I've got several sets of H/T doors but no sedan doors to compare them to.

I think the front door panels should interchange but the rears are a totally different length. I know the rear steel tops to the interior panels are different H/T to Sedan.

Good to know. I've never done the conversion myself.

The ht door panels dont work .The best way for sedan door panels, is to use two steel tops ,from a four door ,to make one panel. Then send them to legendary interiors and have them install them on new door panels.
I did these .....you can see the weld on the middle one.

Well ,good to know on the interior parts ,I do have the sedan doors already.....But I am glad to see that you've shown the door panels (interior) are different before I get that stuff. As far as the exterior trim goes ,the doors are the same,as well as the rear quarter trim???

I wouldnt use any of the ht trim on a sedan . It just wouldnt look right. I would mig, or fill the tim holes closed.
Here is a photo of my 4dr-2dr conv. ....ive welded all the trim holes closed.

I cant remember if I have the panels from the sedan I had.Sold the doors bare and striped all the inside trim and put it in the garage.I know I still have the complete vent window assembleys with glass and frames.I wonder if the glass is the same as my HT for the vents.Rocky

Maybe one of these days I'll get to start working on this again....
