NOT THE SAME, charger is by itself, Coronet is the same as Belvedere and Satellite.

Can we take this a little further? I have always wondered how to tell the difference between the two years. Can someone post the main differences along with some pictures of each.

They actually are the same except the 66/67 Charger pad is twice as deep as the Coronet version. I had a Charger pad on my 66 Coronet for a couple of years. It shaded the gauges pretty bad during the day...

Having owned both a 1966 and 67 Charger, the only difference ( other than engines offered, and I believe the road side hazard switch, not offered on the 66,)Is the blinker makers located on the front chrome piece at the left and right bumpers. If the pix come through, you can see the difference. scott

If you're talking about external differences, the fender-top turn-signal lights are about it.

Most obvious interior difference is the 66 has a full-length console, 67 does not.

There are many small differences: 67 has a collapsible steering column, 66 does not; chrome dash trim piece around 66 steering column is metal, 67 is plastic; cover topping front bumper brackets is metal in 66, plastic in 67; console light is electro-luminescent in 66, bulb in 67; hemi engine compartment wiring is different 66 vs. 67; master cylinder is single piston in 66, dual in 67, etc., etc.

To go with the totall different larger diameter colapsible steering column on a 67, the dash cut out is larger, the chrome trim is plastic and a larger half circle, and the screw on cover under the column is different. Then you get different steering wheel and horn ring.

You guys are missing an easy one...

'66s seat pleats run side to side, '67s run top to bottom.
