what is the nominal o.d. dimension on a gen 2 hemi rocker shaft? i'm trying to figure out if my dli roller rocker bushings are worn too much. i had a couple of backfires in my mp crossram this spring and now the motor is smoking a bit(it wasn't before). i had noticed when i built the motor that when i ran it with duel plug valve covers with no block off in the cover (you can look in on the valve train this way) that a lot of oil came out of the bushing and dropped into the general area of the spark plug making me think they must be worn. now that i'm chasing this new issue i might as well check them out also. i'm thinking the smoke is being caused by a compromised intake gasket but like i said i might as well check all this stuff out. motor has about 3500 miles on it so i don't think its guides or seals. Thanks JB! I finally found it in Larry Shepard's MP book. He lists the shaft o.d. at 0.873 so now I can see how badly my rocker arm bushings are worn once I pull them apart. The fsm list clearance at 0.0007 to 0.0012 which seems tight to me, but maybe like rod or main bearings a bit more is ok for a performance application. Any input is appreciated! Dave
