Been going to the track for many yrs. The track is narrow compared to most. If I remember right the right lane does have a small dip in it about 100' from the start line. Myself I have never had a problem and really enjoy racing there. Great people(track operators and racers). I don't believe they sell fuel anymore but I could be mistaken. Seems every yr they try and make some small improvements. Whether that is the pits, timing system, starting line etc.
Ok

Very fun place to race, 1/8 mile, fast cars, you usually get a lot of runs. It's old school though, guardrails. I use less fuel there being 1/8 mile and short return road brings you right back to your pit spot. Check out all the pics on their website.

Thanks guys. I did some roaming around on their website last night and it is old-school but I kinda like old-school. That sounds like one heck of a deal for the twin 2500 races. Up in the air but Matt is leaning towards this race over Quaker for this weekend. He said 1/8 mile would be a nice warm-up for the no box race at Norwalk next weekend.

Sounds like a FUN place and I like fun. It would give me some 1/8 mile hits to prep for Norwalk the week after.

I've never run to the stripe at an 8th mile track. I think I'll try Magnolia on Saturday with the UMTR guys.

Fun track, I started racing there back in 75. It has some new operaters now, that are putting some funds in the track, as seen in some of the photos. They lengthened the concrete pad and more. The old operaters were great too, They kept that track open when they could of easily closed it and been easier on themselves. That track used to be 1/4 mile with racers running into the 10,s and even some9,s or so. I dont know how they stopped , with the track being as short as it was. One bad thing about the track, is that it can become a pond quite easily with alot of rain. So check with them before you drive down if its rained alot. Edit; Ask me how I know. Shouda brought a boat.

Here's a video from when I took my 69 Dart street car there, I had traction problems due to beat up old tires but I had fun! I turned in a tech card so I don't know why they kept saying no identification for me. As already mentioned, they have made recent improvements. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BGFXlWOrTgM

Well I spent the weekend fixing Mother Natures damage from the 4+ inches of rain we received in three days but Matt went and had a good time. His Friend Kenny won 600 dollars on Saturday when they had to split at 4 cars because of an oil-down and Kenny won yesterday. Matt said its a hard drive from here to get there and about the only other thing that bothered him was they re-adjusted the roll-out for Sunday's race after a "regular" complained about it.

Glad he did well. I was kind of hoping that they would have started the race a little earlier on Saturday, after opening at 9 am. But, it is what it was. It is a hard drive from where I live. I went out 22/30 to 43 thru some 45+ miles of nothingness and narrow 2 lane roads. Toke us about 2 1/2 hours each way. I will go back next year though.
