Trying to put a headliner in my '71 SSP. The problem is when I put the new headliner in (REM brand) and hook the placement wires on the back bow and pull the headliner forward the front bows are laying on their side (too far forward). When I place the bows vertical I see that the spacing on the seams of the headliner are further apart than the bows themselves (all of the them).

Does someone have a good headliner in a '71-'72, and if so, would you be willing to measure the distance between the seams at the center of the roof? Trying to make sure I'm not doing something wrong. Thanks in advance.

Looks like a 6-bow. Mine's a 4-bow, otherwise I'd measure 'em for ya. ('72 RR)

Thank you for the pictures. It looks like your seams are spaced at 7", 7.5", 7" and 9.5" from front to rear. My headliner has the seems at 8", 8.25", 8" and 9.5".

A couple of inches seems like it would make a lot of difference. I'm wondering if I have a improperly made headliner.

I'll double check this after dinner.

From the center mirror screw to the first bow is (first measurement) and to the next bow is (x) and so on..

8.00"
7.25"
7.75"
7.50"
7.25"
7.00"
8.50"

The last measurement is from the last bow to the center trim piece around the back window.

Thanks for taking the time to measure them for me. It appears that I am 1/4" - 3/4" further between seams than you.

Well that is awkward, hope the vendor can make it right for you.
