Thinking about swapping Mufflers out. Currently have Flowmaster 40s and am thinking about Dynamax Ultraflow's....
The 40's do drone a bit but I have been told sound good. I heard a set of Ultraflows it started me to think about swapping. Engine is 500CID TTI Headers, x pipe and 3" Exhaust.
Thanks

I run the Dyno-Max Ultra-Flows and really like them. They are not real loud untill you nail it. I race with the car capped up as the tailpipes go to the rear bumper. I also use TTI 2" headers and the 3" pipes with an X-pipe. here is a clip so you can hear it a little. Ron

Here is another as I am racing my brother. You can just here my car at first as he dailed 9.29 and was setting me out. You can tell his car is way louder but it gives you a bit of hearing my car floored with the Ulta-Flows and full exh. Pay no attention to my niece talking. Ron

I also have the TTI 2" headers, h-pipe, 3" exhaust and ultra flows on my 65 coronet w/440. they sound great without any drone at all.

An X pipe will significantly quiet you're 40 series flowmasters. I have an X pipe with 40 series flowmasters and everybody always tells me how much they like the sound of the truck.

The Hooker Aero Chambers are a little quieter than the Dynomax Ultra Flows. Both sound great.
Neither drone like the Flowmasters.

Thanks for the replies. I know this is subjective and hard to answer. I do not mind it being loud just want it to sound good. I have gotten a lot of positive comments on the 40's but now that I am in MD and driving much longer distances than I did in Hawaii the drone is starting to get old. I also have an X pipe (Exhaust company built it) but may get another one and have an O2 ubung put in it. I also thought about posting a video of the car idling but not sure if that is worth the time or not....thanks
