..what would be a normal battery voltage while running or what
would you consider too hi?

While running....13.25 to 14.50
Over 14.50 would get my attention.

static, 12.3-12.6. Car sitting, you just put a meter on it.

Shouldn't drop below ~10v while cranking, record feature on a multimeter is good for that.

13.5v-14.0v is normal running voltage with a little rpm [mopar alts are lazy at low rpm]. a

Anything about 14.5v would be a little too much IMO.

That's about what i thought.
Looked like my gauge was just on the "charge" side coming home last night so i checked it at idle..it was about 14.2.
I boiled a battery over a few years ago and am a little paranoid about overcharging.
Think i'll clean and check my connections

14.2VDC = don't worry about it. Modern batteries tend to require a little more voltage to charge.

You should check at 2500 or so RPM as well.
