I'll try to give a brief synopsis. Again thanks to CW for helping round up some great sponsors. BIG thanks go to the Blankenships for giving us a place to race, and letting us do whatever we wanted!! Even BIGGER thanks go to all the racers that make the haul to support this event. Especially Mr. Bill Brooks, Mr. John Rains, and Mr. Stephen Hebert. Brooks is from FL, Rains from CA!!!!!, and Hebert is from LA. Talk about dedication!! EDIT: The Hards are from eastern PA, so they get a long haul award, too! And I know Bucky's ride is no easy trip, either.... There were 12 cars in the TNT Sat. morning. Don Bales and Jeff Kobylski had engine problems and were done before qualifying. Final qualifying was 1.) CWJ 2.) CWS 3.) Hebert (A-BEAR) 4.) Rains 5.) Bucky 6.) Hard (ex-woo Cuda) 7.) Marvel 8.) Keyes 9.) Turk 10.) Brooks
Brooks hurt a trans, and marvel had engine issues, so they both missed elims.
CWJ over Hard CWS bye over Marvel Hebert over red Keyes Rains over Turk Bucky bye over Brooks, but Bucky broke trans on the line on his single.
2nd round was
CWJ competition bye Hebert bye over Bucky CWS over Rains CWJ broke a trans on his bye, and Hebert told him take all the time he needed to take care of it.
Semis were CWJ over Hebert Red. Hebert blasted to a 8.57 @ 153.65 (pretty sure that was 2nd lowest ET to CWJ 8.56 in qualifying.) CWS competition bye
Finals
CWS over Junior. Got crossed up and came across the lanes and tagged the wall.
Charlie, we are all happy you are ok. I was thinking to myself right before the final how it always cool you and your dad run it all the way out whenever you race. There are no gimmies when it comes to family:) Just glad to see you're ok, and cars can be fixed!!
We had a blast and it was such a fun event. We WILL have another one for the CC event @ Norwalk, and are looking to get something together for the entire CC series in 2010.

http://hemishootout.net/index.php?option...c&Itemid=41this site has all the et's and speeds for every run. Hebert 8.572 was 3rd to my dads 8.571, and my 8.569 because I keep the good stuff for myself. I look forward to helping the hards and rains get up where they need to be also. Rains car is here now, and will have a fresh bullet before we go out again. Steve was nice enough to wait for us, but we would have made it anyways, it only took 32 mins to change the trans according to a friend of mine that was there. Now is time to get back in the groove for me, working on hensons now. He couldnt come because of a torn Retna, so I put his motor on hold for a week. My new car is getting picked up today, will drop off the old one shortly. Thanks for the fans that did show up, I wish we could get more. I should have thought about it before, but they have billboards on the track property next to the highway, I would have put a sign up there. I guess next year whoever handles this deal can do that if they see fit. later cw

I sent jason over there, it was 215.00 ea. You can send it to him at the track. Make it out to 131 dragway. Thanks for attending, and supporting $$$. cw
